Phew. What a weekend. We drove up for Kellye's (now Martinez) wedding. It was supposed to be outside on the lake, but it was raining; we had it inside her aunt and uncle's house.
On Friday I had quite a day -- there were 27(!!!) first graders in my class. Yikes! It was exhausting but fun. Quite a few stories there, and someday I'll compile them all in my memoir, "Adventures in Substituting." My favorite quote for the day was, "Mrs. Krall, you're white." My second favorite, "Mrs. Krall, I have a mommy." And third, "How old are you? Thirteen?" to which I replied, "Nope, twenty-three," to which she replied, "OH MY GOD!" It was funny.
Curious George was a hit.
Now I'm off to study for the GRE and my Microbiology test. A good studying snack: craisins and wheat thin crackers.
