Why is it, whenever I read haikus that I double-check the syllables? I don't know what I'd do if I caught someone in violation of haiku rules, but for some reason I count them every single time.
i almost violated the rules and just left the middle line as "dogs and calla lillies," but i knew you would be counting, brent.
